Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal SetCustomer Review
I bought this toy for my then-16-month old son who loves to play with magnets on
the fridge. This set comes with five animals in two pieces, head and tail, per
animal. What I liked about this toy is that it reinforces when a match has been
made, BUT if a child isn't developmentally able to do that yet, it makes up a
name for the animal the child has "created" by mismatching the tail and head (for example, a "sheep-cow"). I liked that it saw a mismatch as silly rather than wrong... good for very little ones who have low frustration levels. This is a quality toy, with clear sound and easy-to-grasp pieces... I'm a picky person when it comes to toys, and I highly recommend this one!

LeapStart Learning TableCustomer Review from Amazon.com
My son received this table when he was 8 months old, and still plays with it on
an almost daily basis. The legs are detachable, I guess so it can be placed on
the floor for babies, but we never did that... This table helped our son into a
standing position, and encouraged him to "cruise". The variety of music it provides is great, and hasn't even begun to get old yet (even for mom & dad). Now at almost 2, I've noticed that my son is starting to make his own music instead of just "pressing buttons" . Pressing the drums, the piano, then back to the drums... I'm sure this table will last for years to come, especially once he becomes more interested in his letters, numbers, and colors. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product for EVERY child!

Brainy Baby ABC's (DVD) Customer Review from Amazon.com
Mastering the alphabet involves much more than recognizing capital letters. Brainy Baby: ABC's offers a healthy dose of phonics and lowercase letter study as well, treating 2- to 5-year-olds to a lesson that proves equally entertaining and educational. The key to this delightful show's appeal stems from an engaging, interactive approach to learning. Vocally introducing each uppercase and lowercase letter pair, sharing each letter's sound (or sounds, as in the case of vowels and certain consonants), and showing examples of words beginning with each letter, a friendly narrator encourages viewers to repeat what they see and hear. Throughout the 40-minute program, playful review sessions help enforce each lesson. Upbeat music and exceptional camera work add to the package, making yet another positive contribution from the award-winning Brainy Baby Company. Favorite extras on the DVD version include a video sing-along and a read-along storybook narrated by a child. -- Liane Thomas

My 6 year old has been bugging me for months to get him a video game system like an Xbox or Nintendo. I refuse because I think he is way to young for any type of video games right now. A few of his friends brag about having these systems. When I came across the Leapster TV I thought PERFECT! A educational toy in the form of the TV video games he has been wanting. He was so siked when he saw this. Now we have to pull him off of the TV if we want to watch something

Customer Review from Amazon.com
I recently purchased this toy for my 2 1/2 year old son who has a real interest
in anything to do with numbers. This desk is great because it has so many
levels. He plays with the counting mode, the mystery mode ( beginner level) asks
him questions like find the number bigger than 6, or what comes after 12? These
are great for him, perfect for what he is learning now. He loves the 45 second
quiz which asks questions like "press the number 12, and what number comes before 5?". He also loves to try and draw numbers along with the game. There is an advanced level and also some addition and subtraction games that I am sure he will be exploring soon, but right now he is very happy with the beginning ones, and so am I because this toy will engage him for extended periods of playing by himself. All in all, we think this toy is great. Only gripe is its a bit too loud, but not a big deal when you look at all it does.
Customer Review from Amazon.com
I like the Flash Magic because it makes learning multiplication tables and division tables fun. I would not use paper flash cards because they were boring. I tried the Leap Frog Twist and Shout that a friend let me borrow. I did not like it as well. It was too big and made too much noise. I can use the Flash Magic anywhere. It fits in my pocket. I can turn off the sound. I also think it is pretty cool that you can shake it to get the answer. Once I accidently flung it across the floor. It still works great.

The most important thing about this is it teaches them to draw their letters CORRRECTLY. Start at the top and go down...etc. All educational experts Iv'e talked with say that it is essential to get then doing it right. PLUS, unlike the letter factory (which I loved) it also teaches lowercase letters which I have come to find out that those are what they need in Pre-K and K.

L-Max Game Letters on the Loose Customer Review
I bought this to use on my regular Leapster and it worked just fine. My 4 year old son is learning to write letters in his Pre-K class and this just excited him beyond belief. He sits there for hours tracing those letters and he is so proud of himself when he is done!!! I am amazed because my son usually NEVER sits still unless he's watching TV. This has replaced our watch TV before you go to bed time...now he gets in bed and draws his letters.
The most important thing about this is it teaches them to draw their letters CORRRECTLY. Start at the top and go down...etc. All educational experts Iv'e talked with say that it is essential to get then doing it right. Leapster Game Kindergarten Customer Review
My son is newly 5 years old. I first purchased the Leap Pad quite some time ago and it seems, even to this day, he's too young for it or he just gets bored of it quickly. I purchased the Leapster for Christmas and he LOVES it. On his birthday, I gave him the kindergarten software. (He will be going into Kingergarten this coming September). Its his FAVORITE one to date. Its like owning a video game, only EDUCATIONAL. He plays with it CONSTANTLY while learning his letters, numbers and even how to spell small words. I can't rave about it enough. Leapster Art: Mr Pencil Learn to Draw and WriteCustomer Review
I would still gladly give it 5 stars. My 3 year old actually loves mixing the colors and seeing what colors mix to make what, and then painting with the colors. She likes using the stamps and changing their size and rotating them. She like the color drop game where you have to pick the right 2 colors you need to mix a secondary color, and the maze game where you have to make it through the maze without touching the lines. My seven year old loves to paint pictures on it, and she love the learn how to draw animals and objects. She likes how you can save your artwork till later so she can pick up and work more on a picture, or animation. She likes the game what picture is it, where they start to draw a picture and you have to figure out which of the pictures at the bottom is the one they are drawing and see how many you can guess in the time frame. My son who is 10 even likes it. He thinks the maze game is cool, and he likes doing animation/flip books on it. This is a great cartridge and so many kids of so many ages love it. It even has cool things to learn about shading objects, making fun looking alphabet letters, lessons in color mixing and so much more. If you are buying it for just the learning to do letters with your young toddler, then you need to know that the first few times you have to be prepared to sit down with them and draw with them, because they just don't have that steady of hand, but don't ever disqualify this one because of that, it has way too many other things to offer. I even think it has more on that cartridge to do then any of the other cartridges, plus it's fun for all ages. --Shauna Sheridan V-Smile
V-Smile Editorial Review Outfitted in orange and purple, this electronic learning system for preschoolers plugs directly into a television, and at first take looks a lot like a video-game console. Insert any of Vtech's "Smartridges" into the unit for lessons on language, math, phonics, problem-solving, music, and more. Children can choose between two difficulty levels. Included are a large joystick, adjustable to right- and left-handed kids, and an Alphabet Park Adventure cartridge; other cartridges are sold separately. There's also a storage compartment on top that holds up to six cartridges. The system can run on either three C batteries or an AC adaptor; strangely, neither are included. --Andy Boynton

Just purchased this for my 7 year old son that has cerebral palsey- He only has
use of his right hand- this cartridge is perfect- game does not allow mistakes
and can play this cartridge with only one hand and not both. Since my son has
use of only one hand he has trouble playing the other vsmile games- he's hooked.
Is very engaging also where some of the other games fall short. --Karen Haywood
