In response to a need for additional services for aphasia, a new intensive residential speech and language program is now offered through the school."University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada (French program) École d'audiologie et d'orthophonie - "CENTRE NATIONAL DE FORMATION EN SANTÉ POUR FRANCOPHONE (CNFS) - Le gouvernement du Canada, par l’entremise de Patrimoine canadien, finance depuis le printemps 1999, le Centre national de formation en santé (CNFS). Le CNFS est un consortium d’universités et d’établissements de santé à travers le Canada qui vise à faciliter l’accès à des études en sciences de la santé et en médecine à des étudiant(e)s provenant de milieux francophones en contexte minoritaire. L’Université d’Ottawa est le gestionnaire de ce projet. Le CNFS a permis l’ajout de places supplémentaires en audiologie/orthophonie pour des francophones hors-Québec et hors-Ontario.
