École d'audiologie et d'orthophonie - "CENTRE NATIONAL DE FORMATION EN SANTÉ POUR FRANCOPHONE (CNFS) - Le gouvernement du Canada, par l’entremise de Patrimoine canadien, finance depuis le printemps 1999, le Centre national de formation en santé (CNFS). Le CNFS est un consortium d’universités et d’établissements de santé à travers le Canada qui vise à faciliter l’accès à des études en sciences de la santé et en médecine à des étudiant(e)s provenant de milieux francophones en contexte minoritaire. L’Université d’Ottawa est le gestionnaire de ce projet. Le CNFS a permis l’ajout de places supplémentaires en audiologie/orthophonie pour des francophones hors-Québec et hors-Ontario. Il est prévu que les étudiant(e)s qui sont accueilli(e)s dans le cadre du CNFS fassent la majorité de leurs stages cliniques dans leur province d’origine.

School of Communicative Disorders "Western’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD) is home to one of Canada’s largest graduate program in the fields of audiology and of speech-language pathology. The School is housed in Elborn College, with excellent facilities for the academic, clinical, and research components of the program, including state of the art research laboratories, audiovisual and computer-based teaching laboratories, and the in-house H.A. Leeper Speech & Hearing Clinic.

The in-house clinic provides well-equipped facilities for the assessment and treatment of disorders of hearing, language, speech and voice, as well as for counseling and clinical research. The clinical activities are supervised by full-time and part-time clinical faculty."
